Giambrocono & C. S.p.A. is grateful for your interest in our company and our services. Giambrocono & C. S.p.A. is particularly mindful of the protection of your personal data and accordingly wishes to inform you about which data is collected as you visit the website belonging to us and how it is used.
Warranties about privacy
The term "personal data" as used in the present Code is to be understood as all the information which can be used to identify, either directly or indirectly, an individual or a legal entity. Giambrocono & C. S.p.A. shall not handle your personal data without your consent, where this is not permitted by applicable laws. In handling your personal data, Giambrocono & C. S.p.A. undertakes to comply with legislative Decree 196/03 as later amended and at any rate to comply with the national applicable laws concerning Privacy protection. Within the framework of the foregoing, Giambrocono & C. S.p.A. warrants compliance with the strictest safety standards for your personal data. The following sections of the Code illustrate the methods of collection of your data.

Data collection

When you visit the present website, general data, which is not handled as personal data, is collected automatically (that is, not as a result of registration). The web servers which are used preserve by default the following data: the name of your Internet service provider, the website from which you are visiting us, the websites you visit while you are in contact with our site, your IP address. Said information is analysed in anonymous form and is used exclusively for the purpose of improving the usability, the contents and the functionality of our website. Where data is forwarded to outhouse service providers, we implement technical and organisational measures to ensure compliance with rules about data protection.

Personal data collection and handling

Most sections of this site do not require any form of registration and can be accessed and consulted without visitor identification. Conversely, some sections or sites may require registration. Upon registering on our site, it might be necessary to fill in some fields (some of them are mandatory, some others are optional) and to select a user name and a password. In this case, if some of the requested personal data is not provided, it might be impossible for the visitor to access some sections of the site and for us to reply to the received queries. Personal data is collected only when it is provided to us, for example at the time of registration, when forms are completed or e-mail messages are sent, and again on the occasion of service orders and requests for information or material. The database and your information are kept within the framework of our company, any technical partners and our provider.

Confidentiality of information

Any communication to third parties or disclosure of your personal data cannot be made without your prior manifest consent. Giambrocono & C. S.p.A. shall not disclose nor otherwise communicate to third parties your personal data. Nevertheless, said data might occasionally be transferred to third parties acting on behalf of Giambrocono & C. S.p.A. or in relation with the trade business thereof, in order to perform further handlings in compliance with the purposes for which data has originally been collected. Where communication of personal data to third parties is likely or necessary for any reason, we shall take steps to ensure that said communication and the expected use of the data are clearly and explicitly mentioned so as to allow consent to be correctly expressed. The above third parties might adopt different conduct codes for Privacy. At any rate, it is our intention to make sure that said third parties provide the same level of protection as we ourselves do; if need be, we shall bind said third parties by contract to treat the data transferred to them exclusively for the purposes expressly authorised by Giambrocono & C. S.p.A.. Your consent, manifested in accordance with the provisions of the present paragraph, can be revoked at any time. In this case, we might no longer be in a position to meet the requests you have forwarded. Where possible, Giambrocono & C. S.p.A. shall inform third parties to whom your data has been transferred about the revocation of consent.

Right to obtain information

Giambrocono & C. S.p.A. acknowledges the right to monitor and amend any data relating to your person which we have preserved, if you reckon that it is no longer valid or correct. In this case, it is only necessary to send an e-mail to the email address specified in the paragraph "Ownership of personal data". Subjects involved in data collection may exercise all the rights acknowledged by art. 7 and following articles of Legislative Decree 196/03 (including, by way of example, the right to access, update and remove one’s own data). Giambrocono & C. S.p.A. means to ensure that personal data is updated, accurate and complete. Your request shall be examined promptly and adequately. No costs will be involved in meeting your requests for action, unless the request is not legally justified. The requests for removal of personal data shall be subject to applicable legal, ethical or documentary constraints.

Safety and secrecy

To ensure the safety and secrecy of the personal data collected on-line, Giambrocono & C. S.p.A. shall use data systems protected, among other things, by special firewalls and passwords, in compliance with the provisions of the Decree of the Italian President of the Republic No. 381 of 28th July 1999 and of Legislative Decree 196/03 and at any rate with applicable laws. Access to personal data is permitted only to authorised employees "In charge" who actually need to use said data and who have been instructed to handle said data in a suitable manner, in compliance with the principles of safety and secrecy.
